Legal review note:
This document is a working website draft prepared for review. It must be checked and approved
by the client’s legal advisor before public launch.
1. Introduction
Welcome to the Verify Network SA website. By using this website, submitting information,
registering a business account, requesting a check, or using any platform feature, you agree
to use the platform responsibly and in line with these Terms and Conditions.
Verify Network SA is intended to help users make more informed decisions before doing business
with a person, company, contractor, service provider, or customer. The platform is not intended
for public shaming, harassment, threats, or unsupported accusations.
2. About Verify Network SA
Verify Network SA is a South African risk-status and accountability platform operated for the
purpose of responsible checks, report submissions, admin review, dispute handling, and business
risk awareness.
The platform may allow users to check available risk-status information, submit reports for
review, request deeper checks, register as a business user, or request a review of a listed
matter.
3. Use of the website
You may use the website only for lawful, truthful, fair, and responsible purposes. You agree
not to misuse the platform, submit false information, attempt to access protected areas, interfere
with the website, or use information from the platform to harass, threaten, defame, or unfairly
harm another person or business.
Users must treat all risk-status information as part of a broader decision-making process and
should not rely on the platform as the only basis for a financial, legal, employment, credit,
or business decision.
4. Accounts and access
Certain features may require login access. Business users are responsible for keeping their login
details secure and for ensuring that information submitted through their account is accurate,
relevant, and submitted in good faith.
Verify Network SA may suspend, deactivate, or restrict an account where there is suspected misuse,
abuse, false information, non-payment, security risk, or any other reason that may affect the
fairness, safety, or integrity of the platform.
5. Report submissions
Users who submit reports must confirm that the information provided is true to the best of their
knowledge, relevant to the issue being reported, and capable of admin review.
A submitted report does not automatically mean that the reported person or business has committed
wrongdoing. New reports may be treated as Under Review until the matter has been
checked, disputed, updated, resolved, escalated, or rejected through the admin review process.
Verify Network SA may request additional information, reject unsupported reports, edit public-facing
wording, remove inappropriate content, or prevent a report from appearing in public results where
necessary.
6. Risk-status information
The platform uses controlled risk-status wording such as No negative record found,
Under review, Moderate risk, High risk, and
Verified severe risk. These labels are intended to communicate review status and
risk level, not to publish unrestricted allegations.
Public-facing information may be limited, masked, summarised, or controlled to reduce privacy and
legal risk. Admin users may see more detailed information for review and moderation purposes.
7. Payments and fees
The platform may charge once-off or recurring fees for checks, report submissions, deep-check
requests, admin review requests, and business subscriptions. Fees shown on the website may include
public checks, report submissions, deep checks, admin review fees, and business subscription fees.
A payment does not guarantee a particular result, rating, removal, approval, or outcome. Access to
paid results or paid features should only be released once the payment status is confirmed as paid
through the approved payment process or manual admin confirmation.
Payment gateway, refund, cancellation, and billing terms must be finalised before production launch.
8. Business subscriptions
Business users may receive access to business tools such as checks, report submissions, account
review, and dashboard features while their account is in good standing.
Subscription access may be affected by trial status, payment status, account status, suspected abuse,
or manual admin review. Verify Network SA may deactivate or reactivate a business account where
required for operational, payment, or platform-integrity reasons.
9. Disputes and review requests
Affected persons or businesses may request a review, correction, update, or dispute process through
the available website route or contact details. A review request does not guarantee removal of a
record, change of status, refund, or a specific outcome.
Admin may consider the information submitted by both parties, payment status, available records,
supporting details, and platform policy before deciding whether to keep, update, downgrade, escalate,
resolve, or remove a record.
10. Admin moderation and audit records
Verify Network SA may moderate submitted information, review records, update risk statuses, record
admin reasons, and keep audit trails of important actions. This helps protect the platform, users,
reported parties, and the review process.
Admin actions may include changing a status, rejecting a report, confirming a payment, reviewing a
dispute, deactivating an account, or updating platform records.
11. Privacy and personal information
The website collects and processes personal information for platform operation, report handling,
user communication, payment records, admin review, dispute handling, and legal or operational
purposes. More detail is provided in the Privacy Policy and POPIA / Data Protection page.
12. No guarantee of accuracy or outcome
Verify Network SA aims to support responsible review and risk awareness, but it cannot guarantee that
every record is complete, current, error-free, or suitable for every decision. Users remain responsible
for applying their own judgement and obtaining professional advice where needed.
13. Limitation of liability
To the extent allowed by South African law, Verify Network SA, its owners, staff, contractors, and
service providers will not be liable for losses arising from misuse of the website, reliance on incomplete
information, technical downtime, payment provider issues, third-party links, user-submitted information,
or decisions made by users based on platform content.
14. Changes to these Terms
These Terms may be updated from time to time. The latest version will be published on this page with
the updated date. Continued use of the website after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
15. Governing law
These Terms are intended to be governed by the laws of South Africa, subject to final legal review.
